Tacoma Home for Sale - Dining Room

Favorite Restaurant in the Area:

Moctezuma’s is hands down, the best place to enjoy Mexican food in the entire city of Tacoma. Itt is an excellent family-owned Mexican restaurant. We have been visiting the restaurant for years and have always received steller service and excellent meals. The best part is, it’s only about 1.4 mi - or about 4 minutes - from the house!

Favorite Places to Go:

For shopping: the Tacoma Mall is only a short walk from the house.

For entertainment: the 6th Avenue Restaurant/Nightlife corridor is only about 5 mins from the house.

Scenery: Sunset Beach is 6 miles west of the house.

The house is close to the Allenmore Public Course and also the new Chambers Creek Park Golf Course in University Place.

Only 2.5 miles to Cheney Stadium to catch Tacoma Rainiers Baseball games.

Best Features of the Home:

The house features a large yard for playing with dogs or the kids and has mature fruit trees that are harvested every year to make fresh fruit pies.

Favorite Room:

The light, airy & spacious Master Suite is the best room in the house. Because it’s well-insulated, it stays nice and cool with only a fan in the summer and warm in the winter.

Any Remodeling Since Last Sale Price:

The house has a whole new 500 sq ft Master Suite upstairs with it’s own full bathroom attached. The entire house and garage/workshop got a complete exterior paint job at the end of last summer, and the interior of the house has a nice freshly-painted palate as well.

Most Romantic Spot:

The new Master Suite upstairs has tons of private room to spread out and relax.

What’s in the Neighborhood:

The residential neighborhood is a mixed from younger families to older generations who have lived in the neighborhood for many, many years.

What I Will Miss the Most:

The convenience of living in the home. With it’s easy access to freeways and amenities like shopping and dining, we never felt far from any action.

Block party your way across Seattle

Tonight is the annual Seattle Police Department Seattle Night Out.

night out

Seattle Night Out is billed as a crime prevention event, but it is more of an opportunity to meet new neighbors and catch up on the neighborhood gossip. For you real estate buffs out there, this is the place to get the inside scoop on what is about to come on the market, why stuff is sitting on the market and why stuff sold for what it did.

What is really interesting is how this event brings about a sense of micro community. In my hood, Phinney Ridge, there is a block party just about every other street. For this one evening a year there is this sense of block rivalry–we have the best food, the best people, the best houses, the best location… It would be fun to have follow up event to settle the score of which block is really the best.  Perhaps a hot dog eating contest or bocce tournament?

bocce

If your block is having a party you should find a way to peel yourself away from your computer and catch up with your neighbors and plot ways to take a bite out of crime. If your block isn’t having one, wander a few blocks and I am sure you will find one.

Serene Townhome Open This Sunday (1/14/07)

Open House Date and Time: January 14, 2007 12:00-4:00

23303 Cedar Way #T204
Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043

Favorite Restaurant in the area: T&T Seafood (just off of 236th on SR 99) I would rate this as one of the best Chinese restaurants in the country. It’s truly awesome! (Lunch sets are only about $5 too!)

Favorite Places to go:

Walking along the creek
Playing Frisbee golf in the Terrace Creek Park
Going to the Recreation Pavilion ( Mountlake Terrace’s Community Center.) It houses a unique indoor swimming pool which features a “lazy river” with a moving current, a shallow-water leisure play area, and a handicapped access ramp. It’s awesome!

Best features of the home:
Tons of storage space
Having two levels
Having laminate flooring
Having a jetted tub

Favorite room:
The back porch. I love reading on the porch in the summer with the sound of the creek and the smell of the trees.

What’s in the neighborhood:
Markland Woods Association
Outdoor pool and Jacuzzi
Exercise room
Party room
Playground equipment
Basketball court
Walking trails
The QFC shopping center

What I will miss the most:
The neighbors! Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. We have really enjoyed living here.
